The Teroldego "Sgarzon" is one of the symbolic wines of the rebirth of the Rotaliano area, driven by the tireless work of Elisabetta Foradori. In search of the purest expression of her wines, the winemaker has taken revolutionary paths for the area, adopting ancient techniques such as vinification in amphora.

“Sgarzo” means shoot. The vines grow in the Sgarzon vineyard, a unique environment where the climate is cooler than in other areas and the soils, of alluvial origin, are sandy. Among the rows, the principles of organic cultivation  are adopted along with the use of biodynamic principles. In the cellar, vinification seeks only simplicity and is driven by the slowness of time. A slow passage of days during which the grapes rest inside the tinajas, the Spanish amphorae that Elisabetta Foradori uses as a fermentation container to obtain the maximum expression of her grapes. 8 months is the period during which these amphorae are sealed and inside them the must, in contact with the skins, slowly enriches with concentration and aromas.

The Teroldego "Sgarzon" presents itself with an intense garnet red color. On the nose it needs to aerate for an adequate period of time to then reveal itself intensely, with fruity notes of underbrush, violet, and an earthy background with hints of lemon balm. On the palate, it is very charming, fresh, crisp, with smooth tannins, persistent and with a mineral finish. It rewrites the rules!
