The Sauvignon is grown in South Tyrol for over a century; Girlan grow this variety in the municipalities of Cornaiano, Montiggl and Appiano Monte. A mix of different terroirs ranging from clay, limestone to the gravel. A balance of features which give the Sauvignon "Flora" personality and character. Each vineyard has its own life: in Cornaiano the ground is clayey, the slopes are soft and climate is well ventilated, Montiggl the climate is more temperate thanks to the presence of the pretty lakes Montiggl, while in Appiano Monte proximity to Mendola mountain range provides greater aromatic grapes, because of the greater difference in temperature between day and night. ll factors that we find in this great example of a wine cellar Girlan: a Sauvignon opens crystalline, fine and intense on the palate and offers floral notes of elderflower, nettle, with a veiled hint of grapefruit.
