Gewurztraminer 'Kastelaz' Elena Walch 2016

The Gewurztraminer Kastelaz the expression of the excellent work of Elena Walch, first in the vineyard and in the cellar. She is one of the most competitive producers of Alto Adige, after a degree in architecture and the lucky marriage to the descendant of one of the main families of producers, Walch, Elena manages two splendid property. Kastelaz, from which it takes its name Gewurztraminer, is a real grand cru of this variety: the vines cover the slopes of a hill facing south, softened by rows of cypress trees, overlooking the center of Tramin. A special and charming terroir, combined with the unquestionable ability of its producer, surely contribute to the creation of one of the most extraordinary examples of Italian Gewurztraminer. An elegant white wine that leaves quickly find its deep and rich bouquet, proving a mouth full of flavor and length. The Gewurztraminer Kastelaz if drunk after some time dampens its sweet notes in favor of greater complexity and minerality, although do not drink this wine immediately can be a real challenge.
