The Franciacorta Rosé Brut by Contadi Castaldi is born in Adro, in the province of Brescia, the heart of Franciacorta. The winery was founded in 1987 by Vittorio Moretti and his wife Mariella, who decided to convert the old furnace into a winery for wine production: a renovation was carried out to ensure ample space for the wines to age, covering a total of 7000 square meters; moreover, a space for parties and events was created that can accommodate up to 300 people. The working philosophy is focused on enhancing the intrinsic potential of the territory, paying extreme attention to each grape variety. The result is a quality product, balanced, destined to achieve perfect harmony.

The vineyards of the Franciacorta Rosé Brut by Contadi Castaldi are located in a ventilated and exposed position with soils mainly composed of pebbles and limestone; they are well-drained, perfect for the roots of the plants to absorb the necessary nutrients. The climate is continental with harsh winters, often affected by snowy phenomena, and hot, sultry summers, sometimes drought-prone. The harvest of the grapes is carried out manually between the end of August and the beginning of September; in the winery, the bunches undergo soft pressing and a cold maceration of 3/4 hours. This is followed by alcoholic fermentation with indigenous yeasts for 20 days in steel and a partial malolactic fermentation. It rests for 7 months in steel and subsequently in barrique; it undergoes a first aging of 24 to 30 months on the lees and one post-disgorging of 3-4 months.

The color of the Franciacorta Rosé Brut by Contadi Castaldi is a coral pink with bright and luminous reflections and a fine and persistent perlage. The bouquet of aromas recalls berries, rose petals, and final hints of ripe tropical fruit, along with the characteristic crust of freshly baked bread; on the palate, it is structured, enveloping, and creamy, with good salinity on the finish that invites drinking. Interesting with dishes based on sushi and sashimi, smoked fish, shellfish, and mollusks; also perfect with mixed cured meats of medium aging. Perfect for celebrating important occasions or romantic anniversaries and enjoying an authentic and refined product in the glass.
