Rabajà by Giacosa expresses all the depth and power of what is undoubtedly one of the best crus of Barbaresco. It is undeniable that Bruno Giacosa was the true maestro of Langa, capable of interpreting Nebbiolo with sensitivity and classicism, always starting from raw materials of absolute quality. The approach to creating immortal bottles was to select grapes from the best local suppliers, as well as from his own vineyards, ensuring they expressed their full potential by intervening only when necessary. Multifaceted and diverse expressions, coming from some of the best subzones of Barbaresco and Barolo, including, besides Rabajà, Asili and Rocche del Falletto. An inimitable winemaker, forever legendary.

The Barbaresco Rabajà comes exclusively from estate-grown grapes cultivated in the namesake cru. The vines, all quite old, are grown at about 400 meters altitude, with an approach of utmost respect for the vineyard and the biodiversity. The harvest is done manually, with a double selection of the best bunches, first in the vineyard and then in the cellar. After destemming, the grapes are spontaneously fermented in large wooden barrels, with skin maceration for about a month. The liquid is aged in large wooden barrels for about 18 months. After a further rest in glass for about a year, the wine is ready to be marketed.

The Rabajà wine has a ruby red color that turns towards garnet, depending on its evolution. The nose is immediately extremely expressive and varied, offering in an orderly succession all the classic aromas of high-quality Nebbiolo such as cherry, violet, rosehip, and balsamic touches, which combine licorice with menthol sensations. The sip is full and imposing, taking over the palate thanks to a precise balance between freshness, saltiness, and a chiseled tannin. A wine of purity and inimitable class, it is the suitable companion for special evenings, and for structured dishes such as braised meats, game, or aged cheeses. Absolute star.
