The vines, derived from massal and clonal selection, are grown between 450 and 580 meters above sea level on mainly limestone soils in the Appiano Monte area and porphyritic soils with acidic moraine deposits in the Cornaiano area. Manual harvesting is accompanied by careful selection of the grapes, which are then vinified in \u003c\/span\u003e\u003cstrong\u003e\u003cspan data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"\u003ebarrique and 5-hectoliter tonneaux\u003c\/span\u003e\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cspan data-preserver-spaces=\"true\"\u003e for the Chardonnay, in stainless steel tanks for the Incrocio Manzoni and Petit Manseng.
