A subtractive rosé from Tenuta Del Conte, a winery led by Mariangela Parrilla and one of the faces of the so-called Cirò Revolution, which is a group of eight producers who decided to revitalize a wine-growing area with immense potential but overlooked by productions focused merely on quantity. The shared criteria among the winemakers involved are respectful agriculture, mostly organic, or that does not involve the use of chemical or synthetic substances, subsequently finalized by spontaneous alcoholic fermentations. To date, there are about 15 hectares cultivated by Mariangela, who, taking the reins from her father, decided to strongly focus on Gaglioppo and Greco, providing interpretations that are more than convincing and offered at a very competitive price.

The "Mani Contadine" Cirò Rosé is obtained from pure Gaglioppo grapes, coming from 25-year-old vines that rest on clayey soils. In the vineyard, the principles of organic farming have always been followed, utilizing small quantities of copper and sulfur. In the winery, the process continues with spontaneous alcoholic fermentations and a brief maceration on the skins for a few hours, followed by aging in steel for a year.

The Cirò Rosé Tenuta del Conte presents itself in the glass with a medium intensity cherry pink color, edged with orange reflections. The nose is an effective synthesis of Cirò Marina, unfolding between salty puffs, fresh fruit, pomegranate, citrus, and wild herbs. The sip, initially delicate, extends thanks to a remarkable salty drive and a very pleasant citrus freshness. Idyllic with a fried fish dish.

//cdn.shopify.com/s/files/1/0668/1860/5335/files/ciro-rosato-tenuta-del-conte-202220260518172658_cae8b615-a211-421a-9963-3119e9163cd3.png?v=1787266192
